May 1786 5s Rhode Island Colonial Currency PCGS GEM New 65PPQ.  This has to be one of the nicest colonial notes we have had for sale in at least a decade if not longer.  Rhode Island notes are very popular for their sea faring motifs with the anchor and intricate border design. It has huge margins, great ink, and very vibrant signatures and serial number that are not often seen on colonial notes from Rhode Island or any other colony for that matter.  The 5 shilling denomination is not commonly found let alone in a blazing GEM condition that would certainly be a superb addition to any colonial currency collection.
