This note is famous for being printed in limited quantities and only in specimen format. This note was a victim of Congress' laws preventing living humans from being represented on coins or currency after Spencer Clark placed his own portrait on the 5 cent note. There is not a single burn hole in the ink on the signatures. There are only 24 1275 spnmf graded by PMG with 7 finer than this one. This fine of a grade rarely comes up for auction making this a rare opportunity to buy one this well preserved.
