1928 50 Centavos Republic De Colombia Lazareto.  A very cool coin for the macabre collector who wants the weird stuff.  This is a 50 Centavos coin from the Leper colony of Lazareto.  Don’t worry it is totally safe to handle.  I gave it to my brother several times and so far no leprosery and it has been way past the incubation period.
