1922 Peace Dollar from ex Ted Binion Hoard - NGC MS63

1922 Peace Dollar from ex Ted Binion Hoard - NGC MS63. This silver dollar is from the storied collection of Las Vegas Casino mogul Ted Binion son of Vegas legend Benny Binion. Ted Binion lead and interesting life, so interesting  in fact he was banned from entering his own casino The Binion Horseshoe Casino by the Las Vegas Gaming Commission due to his criminal history and drug problems. He was murdered by his girlfriend Sandra Murphy and her  lover Rick Tabish who both were convicted and sent to prison, but later acquitted on several charges in a second trial, after what was a made for TV criminal trial. This silver dollar, and others like it, were part of the 6 ton silver hoard that was stored in a 12 foot concrete vault buried in the Nevada desert on property owned by Ted Binion.   Tabish and 2 associates were caught when the sheriff happened upon them mid robbery using excavator equipment and dump trucks to get the silver. Tabish was aware of the vault and its location and contents of over 100,000 silver coins because he was hired to build it and ship the coins to the vault.
