1814 - Massachusetts "War of 1812" payment
This is a payment certificate from the war of 1812 services at Plymouth, MA and is an extremely rare piece of American history especially considering the great condition. Documents from the war of 1812 are very tough to locate and very difficult to find examples for a currency collection. It displays vivid ink coloring with an x ink cancel mark. Small edge tears from age and type of paper. These payment certificates are very difficult to come by with only 3 appearing in public auctions records.
