1796 - Washington, DC - Washington City Canal Lottery Lottery Ticket

The serial number 15054 lottery ticket for 12th lottery in lottery No 1. The canal was to be cut through the "City of Washington to the Eastern-Branch Harbour." Signed with still legible numbering. Would be Crisp Uncirculated if not for a pin hole in the middle. There are numerous examples surviving from this lottery but most are in poor condition. This beauty stands alone in its own class amongst its peers.
