$1 Merchants National Bank, Salem , MA - Charter #726 PCGS VG8. This is one of only 2 known Aces from this bank in a very well-known Massachusetts town. It has blue numbers on the side indicating it is one of the earliest printed as this practice was quickly discontinued.  PCGS notes a small ink stain but who really cares consider there is only one other Original Series $1 from this scare New England bank. Original Series large size nationals are highly collectible by themselves let alone one from a minimally reported bank with original blue numbers. Serial 33516B. PCGS VG8 Certification # 80590180.
